Gizem Taslicay, 23, captured her experience on Sunday, November 30 as crowds of shoppers navigated the bustling market, which she had hoped would be quieter in the early afternoon.
The student, based in Bath, Somerset, admitted she was wrong, as the market was swarming with people leaving little room to browse or enjoy the festive atmosphere.
She left within an hour after struggling to make her way through the throngs and finding it impossible to reach the stalls.
Speaking about the experience, Gizem said: "It was just chaotic.
"I assumed the market would be relatively quiet in the afternoon, but even at 1 pm it was extremely difficult to walk through.
"I decided not to buy anything, even though some stalls looked lovely.
"I didn't want to wait 15-20 minutes just to reach them.
"People were pushing through the crowd and I didn't feel comfortable."
Fellow Christmas market attendees posted their own videos on social media, with some slamming the event as "the worst Christmas market I've ever been to."
Content creator @chasingthedream.hj described the market as overcrowded, expensive and completely lacking in festive cheer.
Another visitor shared footage of the tightly packed crowds and said: "I live in Bath and it's awful.
"Too many people, too much tat being sold, no Christmas music, no festive atmosphere."
