Indian film technologist Ujwal N. Nirgudkar received the prestigious SMPTE Citation Award in Pasadena for his four-decade contributions to motion picture technology. A pioneer in sustainable film processing and the first Indian with a US patent in film technology, Nirgudkar's work has significantly benefited the Indian film industry and earned global acclaim.
