Drake is kicking off 2025 with major moves, confirming that OVO Fest is officially coming back and revealing he's deep into a new album.
The surprise announcement came during Central Cee's show in Toronto, where Drake stepped onstage and praised Cee before telling fans, "OVO Fest is back this year." The crowd erupted in applause, clearly excited for the festival's return.
OVO Fest hasn't touched down since 2022, when Drake brought out Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Nelly Furtado. Over the years, he's hosted icons like Lauryn Hill, 50 Cent, J. Cole, and The Weeknd.
While he didn't share dates or a lineup, the return alone is big news. And it's not the only thing he's working on.
During a recent Kick stream with Adin Ross, Drake casually confirmed new music is on the way. "Working on a new album right now...it's a slap," he said. This follows February's collab project "$ome $exy $ongs 4 U" with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which debuted at No. 1.
Whether it's redemption or just another rollout, one thing is clear: Drake's planning to be loud this summer.
