A picture-perfect Los Angeles dwelling that was once home to Jennifer Garner and Cindy Crawford has found itself a buyer just one week after being listed for $9.5 million.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home comes with plenty of Hollywood history. In addition to the A-listers as former owners, the home was also featured prominently in Reese Witherspoon's hit 2008 rom-com, "Home Again," which also starred Michael Sheen.
So it's perhaps no surprise that the elegant abode, which is listed with Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker Realty, was snapped up so quickly. Realtor.com® records indicate that it was placed under a contingent offer within a few days of being listed on May 12.
Described as an "exquisite Montecito-style home" in its listing, the property spans 4,100 square feet and sits on "an expansive sun-drenched 32,423 square-foot lot" with lofty hedges and a gated entrance.
"Boasting tree-top and serene canyon views, the special and magical home has several patios and terraces from which to take in the view," Frankel added in a press release shared with Realtor.com.
Amid lush greenery, the outdoor spaces include a resort-style pool, bathing chairs, and a stone walkway.
Inside, the sunken living room is topped by a beamed ceiling and warmed by a cozy fireplace. Adjacent are the family room, which also has a fireplace, and a separate office.
The "wonderful dining room has access to a relaxing sunroom and outdoor patio with a cozy wood-burning fireplace," according to the listing.
The chef's kitchen features a unique skylight, a large wooden island that can seat four people, and state-of-the-art appliances. There is a cozy breakfast table and French doors that open to the stunning courtyard and patio.
The outdoor space is the perfect place to entertain even the most glamorous guests as it features several seating areas, a large dining table, and a wood-burning fireplace to keep visitors warm on chilly California evenings.
The bathroom continues the chic white and wooden theme as the rest of the property and comes with a large soaking tub and a number of windows.
The primary suite offers another cozy fireplace, as well as a private terrace and outdoor spa.
"In addition, there are two ensuite bedrooms and an inviting one-bedroom guesthouse," reads the listing.
That guesthouse played a pivotal role in "Home Again," which starred Witherspoon as Alice Kinney, a mother of two who moves back home to Los Angeles from New York City with her daughters in the wake of her split from her husband, played by Sheen.
Alice returns to the home in which she was raised by her movie director father -- and into which she allows three young budding filmmakers to move after meeting them on a night out.
The filmmakers move into the guesthouse for the duration of their visit to L.A., where they are desperately trying to find a producer to help them get their movie off the ground. One of them, however, seems more focused on his romance with Alice than on his on-screen endeavors.
Directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer, daughter of famed rom-com maker Nancy Meyers, the movie centers mostly on the group's dynamic inside the home, which takes center stage in the aptly titled flick.
