Amidst Apple's release of its macOS Tahoe 26, iOS 26, and iPadOS 26 operating systems on Monday, Apple also released iOS 18.7, macOS Sequoia 15.7, and macOS Sonoma 14.8.
The updates do not contain any features and are instead just security updates.
The updates can be located, downloaded, and installed via the following steps:
iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > General > Software Update. After the device checks online, tap Update Now or Update Tonight.
Mac: Under the Apple menu, go to System Settings > General > Software Update. After the Mac checks online, click Update Now or Update Tonight.
Apple continues to release security updates after the next version of the operating system has been released. It will also release updates for any major bugs, but new features are not available. Apple will usually stop supporting its older operating systems after 5 to 7 years.
If you've had a chance to try the updates, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
