1. Albany Med Health System names new president, CEO

The Board of Directors of the Albany Med Health System has chosen a new president and CEO. Daniel Pickett, III was unanimously chosen to replace Dr. Dennis McKenna.

Racist Tops mass shooter Payton Gendron notified over 60 Discord users in the minutes prior to carrying out an attack on the Jefferson Avenue grocery store on May 14, 2022, according to new court documents unsealed earlier this week.

3. Canajoharie CSD voters approve capital project

oters in the Canajoharie Central School District approved the capital project referendum by a vote of 88 to 41. The project is estimated to cost $29,655,000.

4. ICE arrests 10 Afghan men in Capital Region, says Afghan American Community VP

ICE carried out a series of arrests in the Albany and Watervliet area this week, according to Yousaf Sherzad, Vice President of the Afghan American Community in Albany. They arrested several Afghan men who, according to the community, were all in good standing.

5. Swifty's in Colonie, Delmar seized by NYS

All three locations for Swifty's Restaurant & Pub have been seized by the state, according to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. Swifty's has three locations on Everett Road in Colonie, Delaware Avenue in Delmar and Genesee Street in Utica.
