MOORHEAD -- Black Cat Bakery in Moorhead is settling into a purr-fect home.
The owners call the move from north Moorhead to the corner of 8th and Main a blessing in disguise.
They changed locations because of a rent increase, and now they're seeing an increase in customers.
After a six-week hiatus, they reopened on Feb. 10.
They say their five-year plan to move into a bigger space basically became a one-year plan.
"I was really comfy with the small little kind of homey space we had before -- yeah, the little hole-in-the-wall space -- exactly, but being here now it's like ... amazing ... what it was supposed to be," said Morgan Laite, co-owner of Black Cat Bakery.
The bakery first opened in December 2023.
They are open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
