To kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month, Breast Cancer Ireland's annual Bake It Pink initiative, with support from Dr. Oetker and SuperValu, is launching once again to raise important funds.
The initiative invites bakers of all levels to whip up pink-themed treats to raise awareness and money for Ireland's leading breast cancer charity.
Kicking off on 15 September, the campaign aims to engage households, community groups and businesses across the country to take part, fundraising for critical education and outreach programmes, highlighting eight signs and symptoms of the disease.
Once again this year, the initiative will include a special invitation for all schools to get involved, with a bespoke and free-of-charge 'School's Bake It Pink Kit' being created for participating schools.
The now annual event has raised €200,000 in two years, with this year's initiative set to grow further, fronted by ambassadors and online baking influencers Lou Robbie (Little Lou Cooks) and Alice Kelly (From Scratch Bakery).
Both ambassadors are passionate about using their platforms to promote awareness and encourage participation in this campaign.
Speaking about this year's campaign, CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland Aisling Hurley said, "We're delighted to see the return of the Bake it Pink campaign this year - an initiative that continues to rise to the occasion in support of our mission.
"Creative, community-driven events like this not only raise vital funds for our breast health awareness and education programmes, but also spark important conversations in homes, schools and workplaces across the country.
"Loyal and supportive corporate partners like Dr. Oetker in Ireland play a crucial role in helping us amplify our early detection messaging and extend our reach nationwide.
"With over 3,700 people diagnosed annually, the need for ongoing awareness and education has never been greater.
"Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of all those who get involved, we're able to invest in initiatives that truly save lives."
Marketing manager of Dr. Oetker Eoin Mullen added, "We're thrilled to continue our support for this year's Bake It Pink campaign in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland.
"At Dr. Oetker Ireland, we know that baking has the power to bring people together - and what better reason to get out the mixing bowls than supporting life-saving research?
"Whether you're a star baker or first-time froster, every bun, biscuit and cupcake baked makes a difference!"
To get involved, aspiring bakers can download the Bake It Pink Kit from www.breastcancerireland.com, which includes cake toppers, Bake-Off posters, and a simple-to-follow eight recipe booklet.
Those inspired to take part should invite family and friends to do the same and set a date for their very own Bake-Off, raising money for the cause.
The full range of Dr, Oetker ingredients for a bake-off showstopper are available at SuperValu stores nationwide.
