Three Johnstown businesses got burglarized, one twice. A Gloversville man is now charged in all four

TOWN OF JOHNSTOWN -- A 24-year-old Gloversville man has been charged in connection with four burglaries in the town of Johnstown.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Department arrested Zachariah S. Etherton, of Gloversville, on Tuesday and charged him with four counts of third-degree burglary and one count of third-degree criminal mischief, felonies. He also faces one count of fourth degree criminal mischief and four counts of petit larceny, misdemeanors.

Police allege Etherton burglarized three businesses, one of them twice, between May 29 and Aug. 22. Etherton is accused of causing damage to two of the businesses and stealing property from all of them.

Etherton is currently in the Fulton County Jail on an unrelated charge, according to police. He is set to reappear in Johnstown Town court at a later date to be arraigned on the burglary charges.
