CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Douglas Airport is getting ready for the summer travel season. Memorial Day weekend this weekend marks the official kickoff.
The airport is expecting 7-percent fewer passengers than last year, which would still be nearly 1-million people flying between Thursday and Tuesday. The busiest travel days are expected to be Thursday and Friday.
