Investing.com - Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the BIST Leasing Factoring, BIST Telecommunication and BIST Basic Metal sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Destek Finans Faktoring As (IS:DSTKF), which rose 9.98% or 45.75 points to trade at 504.00 at the close. EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) added 7.72% or 7.70 points to end at 107.50 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 7.55% or 3.38 points to 48.12 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pasifik Teknoloji A.S. (IS:PATEK), which fell 5.76% or 1.76 points to trade at 28.80 in late trade. Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) declined 3.22% or 1.04 points to end at 31.30 and Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS:IEYHO) down 2.35% or 0.88 points to 36.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 460 to 133 and 5 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Shares in EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) rose to all time highs; gaining 7.72% or 7.70 to 107.50. Shares in Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.55% or 3.38 to 48.12.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.99% or 41.05 to $4,204.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.58% or 0.34 to hit $58.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.41 to trade at $61.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.08% to 41.84, while EUR/TRY rose 0.31% to 48.73.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 98.47.
