With just weeks to go until Wicked: For Good is released, excitement is at an all-time high. The movie, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, is the follow-up to last year's smash hit and will follow the plot of the second act of the musical on which it is based.

A new poster featuring the Cynthia and Ariana, as well as Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum, has been released which has sparked further excitement among fans. Not only does it feature brooding photos of the cast in their character get-ups, many have noticed there is also a nod to the original Wicked Witch.

For those who have somehow managed to miss Wicked mania, the plot is based on a novel which follows the life of the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard Of Oz. In the 1939 movie, the Wicked Witch was played by Margaret Hamilton.

And fans have noticed a nod to Margaret's Wicked Witch in the newly released Wicked: For Good poster.

The promotional image features a collage of the cast set over the landscape of Oz in the shape of Elphaba's silhouette.

However, when turned upside down, the empty space also resembles the original Wicked Witch, with her pointy nose and chin.

Fans have been left amazed by the Easter Egg, with one saying: "Now I cannot unsee it! So cool."

However others suggested they saw the silhouette of the Tin Man, who was also in The Wizard of Oz whose appearance has been teased in Wicked: For Good.

Wicked: For Good follows Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), who has since been branded the Wicked Witch of the West, as she continues fighting for animal rights while on the run as a fugitive.

Friend Glinda (Ariana Grande), now known as Glinda the Good, has become the public darling of Oz, under the watch of the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh).

Their friendship with face a number of challenges, including the arrival of Dorothy Gale from Kansas.

Wicked: For Good is released on November 21.
