Jack Wenninger struck out seven in 6 1/3 innings to lift the Binghamton Rumble Ponies to a 5-2 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in an Eastern League game Friday at Hadlock Field in Portland.
Wenninger allowed two runs on seven hits and walked one to earn his 11th win of the season. He held Portland scoreless through 6 1/3, before Caden Rose hit an RBI triple and scored on a single by Ahbram Liendo.
A.J. Ewing went 3 for 5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored for the Rumble Ponies. Nick Morabito added two hits.
