Chicken Breast Deuktem series leads sales, contributing to 65 billion won revenue
Convenience store CU announced on the 15th that its in-house brand 'PBICK (Pivic)', which was renewed (makeover) and launched at the end of May, surpassed a cumulative sales volume of 30 million units in just five months. Sales reached over 65 billion Korean won.
CU currently operates over 120 PBICK products across diverse categories, starting with snacks, including HMR (home meal replacement), processed meats, beverages, and toilet paper.
The top-selling product was the 'Chicken Breast Deuktem' series, with Pepper, Original, and Smoked varieties all ranking in the top positions. Priced at 1,900 Korean won per unit, the product uses domestically raised chicken and has consistently driven customer demand.
Following closely was the '990 Hot Bar Deuktem'. This 65g product, ideal for single servings, maintains over 89% domestic pork content, offering high quality at a low price.
Additionally, Crab Deuktem, Steamed Dumpling Deuktem, and Egg Deuktem also ranked high in sales. CU stated that these 'Deuktem' food products, which combine high quality and affordability, have garnered significant customer favor.
Yoo Sun-woong, head of BGF Retail's Product Division, said, "We will continue to lead trends in the convenience store PB market and develop PBICK into a lifestyle-oriented brand that customers can trust."
