Retirement possible after $100K lottery prize for Brampton trucking worker | INsauga

A trucking industry worker from Brampton says he's considering retirement after winning a $100,000 lottery prize.

Roy Hutchinson is an 81-year-old from Brampton who has been playing OLG lottery games since the first launch of Lottario.

The trucking industry worker from Brampton says he was stunned after checking a ticket for the Sept. 13 Ontario 49 draw and saw he'd won big.

"I was confused when checking my ticket because I saw all these zeros," he said while picking up his winnings at the OLG prize centre in Toronto. "I handed it to the retailer, who told me I was a big winner."

Hutchinson matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the correct order to win the prize.

The 81-year-old winner says he hasn't told anyone about his win yet, and plans to invest the money and possibly retire.

Encore offers 22 ways to win, and can be played along with most lottery games for an extra $1. The OLG says it supports safe play and responsible gambling through its PlaySmart program.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kitchen Food Fair on Dusk Drive in Brampton.
