Wanda Jean Kryzwick, age 76, of Waterbury entered into rest on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury. She was the devoted wife of 44 years to Robert Kryzwick. Wanda was born in New York state on August 17, 1949, daughter to the late Charles and Audrey (McCurdy) White. After moving to the Naugatuck Valley, she spent the majority of her life in one of its many towns.
After high school Wanda graduated from the Fashion Trade Institute (NYC) with an associate's degree in Fashion Design. However, life had another path for her. After her father became gravely ill and her brother's motor vehicle accident she returned to Genoa, NY to assist in the care for them. To make ends meet she took a job in a local clothing factory making layouts. It was her brother's aide that ignited her passion for providing care for those in medical need. This passion stayed with her entire life whether helping the elderly as a CNA or the young receive their immunizations at the well child clinics.
Amongst her many hobbies sewing was her favorite. She made her young daughter's Halloween costumes to the more elaborate formal/prom dresses as her daughter grew.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Kryzwick of Waterbury, daughter Amy Kryzwick of Rochester Pennsylvania, her brothers Steven and Brian White, her sister Bonnie (White) Parker along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her younger brother Charles "Chipper" White.
Memorial services will be scheduled later to allow more family members to attend.
