KO OLINA (KHON2) -- A 23-year-old male is in critical condition after he was brought to shore after he was found unresponsive while diving in the Ko Olina area.
Around 11:35 a.m., EMS responded to reports of the unresponsive diver who was said to be diving in the ocean to the right of the lifeguard shack, headed into Ko Olina near the railroad tracks, EMS reported.
Someone had performed CPR on the diver when he was brought to shore, but still no response, officials said.
On arrival, EMS took over and had to perform advanced life-saving measures on the 23-year-old male before taking him to an emergency room for further medical attention.
