Lenovo Prepares RX 9070 XT And RTX 5060; Likely For Pre-Builts Only

The triple-fan design for the Radeon RX 9070 XT looks cool and much similar to the Legion GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5090D.

Lenovo doesn't only make laptops and pre-built systems, but it is slowly bringing its own custom editions for modern graphics cards. You won't see many Lenovo GPUs in the market since it mostly focuses on PCs and laptops, but after it released its Legion RTX 5090D and RTX 5080 editions for the Chinese market a few months ago, it is back again with two more GPUs.

The first one is the Lenovo Radeon RX 9070 XT, which is inspired by AMD's RX Vega GPU design, offering that sleek and plain shroud with a triple-fan cooler. The heatsink looks quite thick and we can see an RGB Radeon RX 9070 XT logo on the side. This is identical to the Legion RTX 5090D and RTX 5080 GPUs, so, it's safe to assume that the Lenovo RX 9070 XT is also in the Legion lineup.

Unlike most custom editions, the Legion RX 9070 XT is a 3-slot thick card, and brings a hefty cooler for better heat dissipation. However, it appears to have just 2x 8-pin PCIe connectors, which means Lenovo isn't going after extreme overclocking and stuff. Some vendors like ASRock and Sapphire did try to go overboard by releasing a 16-pin connector version, but unfortunately, both have seen a melted 16-pin connector. However, those with a 3x 8-pin connector configuration are running much safer.

Similarly, Lenovo also teased its custom GeForce RTX 5060 edition, which is a single-fan card, measuring just 2 slots in thickness. The card doesn't even have a backplate, and you can clearly see the exposed PCB components on the back. The GPU ships with a single 8-pin PCIe connector on the end, making connection easier.

For both GPUs, details like clocks, pricing, and availability aren't yet known. However, both these cards are only China-exclusive and will likely be available only through pre-built systems, just like the Legion RTX 5080 and RTX 5090D.
