Health authorities want to boost vaccination coverage in Czech

Health authorities are seeking to boost vaccination coverage in Czech Republic, Czech Television reported citing the Ministry of Health. Immunization rates against some diseases have been falling in recent years, with measles coverage dropping to below 90 percent. A forthcoming national strategy aims to reverse the trend, introducing faster rollouts of fully covered vaccines and greater safety measures. The plan includes regular public opinion surveys on vaccination and continuous monitoring of population immunity. Insurers are expected to play a greater role, for instance by issuing targeted invitations. Primary care doctors would also be required to serve patients not registered with them.
