Packers WR Matthew Golden nominated for Rookie of the Week for Week 6
Green Bay Packers receiver Matthew Golden is one of six nominees for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week after producing 102 total yards and three explosive plays during the Packers' win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

Golden, the Packers' first-round pick, caught passes of 20 yards, 35 yards and 31 yards, and both of his rushing attempts gained eight yards and converted first downs. Golden's three catches, all explosive plays, came on drives in which the Packers scored 13 of their 27 points, including the 35-yarder on 3rd-and-10 on a touchdown drive and the 31-yarder on 3rd-and-9 setting up the game-sealing field goal.
Golden's 102 total yards set a new career high. His 86 receiving yards were the most by a rookie in Week 6. At Pro Football Focus, Golden earned an elite 90.4 overall grade after averaging 3.74 yards per route run and creating five total first downs.
Golden's competition for the award includes Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart (two touchdowns in win over Eagles), Giants running back Cam Skattebo (three rushing touchdowns in win over Eagles), Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty (86 total yards, touchdown), Panthers receiver Tetairoa McMillian (two touchdown catches in win over Cowboys) and Colts tight end Tyler Warren (63 total yards, touchdown).
Only Skattebo (110) had more yards from scrimmage than Golden among rookies in Week 6.
The Packers haven't had a player win Rookie of the Week since receiver Christian Watson caught three touchdown passes in an overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10 of 2022.
Speaking of weekly awards, Packers running back Josh Jacobs is a nominee for the FedEx Air and Ground Players of the Week for Week 6 after creating 150 total yards and scoring a pair of touchdowns against the Bengals.
