Strictly's La Voix corrects "biggest problem" that aired on Gogglebox

RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 6 winner and current Strictly Come Dancing contestant La Voix has responded to the Gogglebox cast making the "biggest mistake" when it comes to her. But has she finally put the issue to bed once and for all? (No, people will still keep doing it forever and forever). We're of course referring to the fact that people constant get the British drag superstar's name wrong, pronouncing it in myriad of different ways.

In the Gogglebox clip shared to La Voix's Instagram, we saw both Lee Riley and Julie Malone say her name as 'La Vox', although, in Julie's defence, she did say it right at first. Jenny Newby also got it right, which isn't surprising as Jenny famously does her research and takes her notes.

An ever-so-slightly irate La Voix wrote in the caption: "Gogglebox summing up the biggest problem of my career! It's La Vwah not La Vox!"

She also pointed fans to her song 'My Time', the song she performed on the first episode of her season which is all about how people keep getting her name wrong.

The fans had a good laugh at the whole thing, gently ribbing La Voix in the comments.

"You've made it," joked one fan, while another said: "We all know it's 'LA VOOOOOOO'".

So far, La Voix and her professional dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec have been making waves in the competition.

They were near the top of leaderboard in the first week, with their American Smooth to Chappell Roan's 'Pink Pony Club' netting them a solid 24 points.

Last weekend though, they scored 19 for their Jive to 'Objection (Tango)' by Shakira, which put them in the bottom third of the leaderboard.

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday nights on BBC One, with It Takes Two airing weeknights on BBC Two. RuPaul's Drag Race UK airs Thursday nights on BBC Three. All three shows also stream on iPlayer.

Gogglebox is currently airing Friday nights on Channel 4 and streams on the Channel 4 service.
