All About Kalamkaval

Directed by Jithin K Jose and produced under Mammootty Kampany, Kalamkaval marks Mammootty's return to the big screen following a brief hiatus due to health concerns. The film stands out as a psychological action-thriller, with Mammootty taking on a negative role. Dulquer Salmaan appears as the younger version of his character, Cyanide Mohan.

The story unfolds through a narrator who recounts a disturbing episode in the quiet village of Kottayikonam, near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. What begins as a minor clash between two youngsters escalates into a full-blown communal riot, dragging the village's two dominant communities into a spiral of violence.

With Dulquer's Wayfarer Films handling distribution in Kerala and the trailer revealing only limited hints, Kalamkaval has shaped up into one of Mammootty's most compelling recent works.
