Wu-Tang Clan has introduced the Wu-Tang Forever Time Capsule, a traveling vault set to accompany the group on their final tour, Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber, which kicks off June 6 in Baltimore. Revealed during a surprise performance at Dave Chappelle's YS Firehouse in Yellow Springs, Ohio, the capsule debuted with a signed vinyl contribution from Chappelle himself.
"From the basements of Staten Island, we created something timeless. And now we invite you to be part of that inspiration," Wu-Tang Clan founder RZA said of the Time Capsule. "In every city, we will be putting something new inside this time capsule. Something from your city to connect with all the Wu cities and Wu fans around the world. This Wu-Tang Forever Time Capsule will only be seen in the Shaolin Temple VIP. We invite you to be part of this legacy."
"Thanks to the Wu for showing Ohio love," Chappelle said. "They brought the time capsule with them. Each city has a chance to put something in it in the Shaolin Temple VIP experience. I repped for YS."
The Time Capsule will be featured exclusively in the Shaolin Temple VIP Experience on tour, offering premium seats, exclusive merch, and the rare chance for fans to contribute to the group's legacy. At the unveiling, Wu-Tang performed a high-energy set for just 250 attendees as part of Chappelle's intimate Soundcheck Series.
Produced by AEG Presents, the 27-date tour features sold-out stops in major cities including NYC, Boston, and Philly, with support from Run the Jewels. More info on tickets and VIP access is available on the official tour site.
