Feeding into an ongoing brand push, the toyco will release high-res episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in multiple languages on YouTube.
Hasbro is breathing new life into old Power Rangers content with the launch of a 4K version of '90s live-action series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition (60 x 22 minutes) on YouTube.
The first episode dropped today on the brand's English, French, German and Spanish channels, and the plan is to roll out two to three episodes weekly until October 7.
Releasing the enhanced episodes is an attempt by Hasbro to attract a new generation of fans to the Power Rangers franchise. The company demonstrated this push last week with the launch of a collection of bite-size shorts pulling from the '90s series and slated to roll out gradually until December 9.
In other recent franchise news, Hasbro granted a license in February to Playmates Toys to create a line of figures, accessories, role-play toys and collectibles that will be available this fall. This builds on a global licensing agreement between the two companies that was announced in April 2024.
