Following a trip to the NCAA tournament First Four, which snapped an eight-year Big Dance drought, the Washington women's basketball coach Tina Langley put together a challenging 2025-26 nonconference schedule that features former two Pac-12 rivals.
The Huskies start the season with home games against Seattle University and Montana on Nov. 3 and 10 before a difficult road game versus Utah on Nov. 15.
Last year, the Grizzlies and Utes, who sparred with UW in the Pac-12, handed the Huskies double-digit losses.
For the first time since Langley's first year in 2021, Washington will not play in a nonconference tournament.
Instead, the UW coach stuffed the nonconference schedule with difficult matchups at home against conference champions: Vermont (Nov. 23), Southern (Nov. 25), UC San Diego (Nov. 28), and Green Bay (Dec. 13).
This season, Washington will not host its Husky Classic, which had been an annual nonconference showcase that began in 1987.
The Huskies finish their nonconference schedule with a Northern California road trip to face former Pac-12 rival Stanford on Dec. 19 and Pacific on Dec. 21.
In order to improve upon last season's 9-9 and 12th-place Big Ten finish, the Huskies must successfully navigate an 18-game conference slate stocked with 10 opponents who made the 2025 NCAA tournament.
Notable games include a conference road opener at defending regular-season league champion USC (Dec. 7), a three-game homestand against Northwestern (Dec, 29), Michigan (Jan. 1) and Michigan State (Jan. 8) and another trip to Los Angeles to face defending conference tournament champion UCLA (Feb. 19).
Times and TV information for UW's schedule will be announced at a later date.
