Needle Treasures in St Helier had a pink makeover of its window

Local businesses across Jersey have given their window displays a pink makeover to highlight breast cancer.

The charity ABC Jersey, formerly Breast Cancer Support Jersey, said its Pink Window Parade campaign was intended to raise awareness and support those affected by the disease in the community.

It said the concept was "simple" and businesses could use all types of decorations including flowers, crafts and artwork to "help turn our island pink".

Sue Frost, volunteer governor of ABC Jersey, said:"Every pink window is a symbol of hope and a powerful reminder that breast cancer touches our whole community."

Ms Frost said: "Breast cancer doesn't just affect women - it affects everyone around them.

"This campaign is about islanders coming together, showing compassion, and helping us build a brighter community."

The charity said 100 companies had signed up to take part.

ABC Jersey said it offered financial, practical and emotional support for anyone in the island affected by breast cancer and hoped its campaign would help it continue with its work.

The charity has invited islanders taking part to create their own fundraising pages to support the its work.

Ms Frost said: "We want islanders to know they're not alone, and that support is here for them."
