Taylor Swift's Masters Deal: The Truth About Scooter Braun's Alleged Involvement

After the "Blank Space" singer bought the master recordings of her first six albums from Shamrock Capital, a source close to the negotiations told E! News that the talent manager -- whose Ithaca Holdings LLC company once held the rights to Taylor's early music -- played no part in the latest deal.

"There was no outside party who 'encouraged' this sale," the insider shared. "All rightful credit for this opportunity should go to the partners at Shamrock Holdings and Taylor's Nashville-based management only."

The source added, "Taylor now owns all of her music and this moment has finally happened in spite of Scooter Braun, not because of him."
