12 arrested after Waterbury police execute multiple search and seizure warrants

WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - On August 27, Waterbury police arrested 12 people after executing multiple search and seizure warrants.

Waterbury Police Department's Vice and Intelligence Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Auto Theft Task Force, and Gang Task Force worked together with CT State Police to execute these warrants at around 10:16 a.m.

Police say heroin, fentanyl, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, $8,000, a 10mm Glock, a Ruger SP101 Revolver, and an American Tactical AR-15 were seized during the investigation.

12 people were arrested.

28-year-old Isaiah Mujica was charged with interfering with a search warrant, possession of an assault weapon, altering/obliterating serial marks, possession of a high-capacity magazine, unsafe storage of a firearm (3 Counts), illegal sale/transfer of a firearm (3 counts), criminal possession of a pistol/revolver (2 counts), criminal possession of a firearm/ammunition (3 counts), and possession of narcotics with intent to sell (2 counts).

He was held on a 500,000 bond. Isaiah is also a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing any firearms or ammunition.

24-year-old Isaac Mujica, of Waterbury, was charged with unsafe storage of a firearm, illegal sale/transfer of a firearm, interfering with a search warrant, criminal possession of a pistol/ revolver, criminal possession of a firearm/ammunition, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell (2 counts).

He was held on a $1,000,000 bond. Isaac is also a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing any firearms or ammunition.

30-year-old Jacob Mujica, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with a search warrant, possession of an assault weapon, altering/obliterating serial marks, possession of a high-capacity magazine, unsafe storage of a firearm (3 counts), illegal sale/transfer of a firearm (3 counts), and possession of narcotics with intent to sell (2 counts).

He was held on a 500,000 bond.

31-year-old Brian Acosta-Perez, of Waterbury, had 5 active warrants and was taken into custody.

49-year-old Mario Santos, of Wolcott, was charged with interfering with a search warrant.

38-year-old Kristina Janssen, of Litchfield, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

59-year-old Rosemary Winters, of Waterbury, was charged with tampering with evidence and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

62-year-old Gladys Velez, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with a search warrant possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had an active warrant.

She was held on a $500 bond.

41-year-old Miranda Pope, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with a search warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was held on a $2,500 bond.

58-year-old Lois Tremblay and 38-year-old Heather Huntley, both of Waterbury, were both charged with interfering with a search warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.

33-year-old Paulo Juca-Saquizari, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with a search warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics.

Huntley, Tremblay, Janssen, Santos and Winters were released on a promise to appear, according to police.
