HANCOCK COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) - A Lomax, Ill., man was arrested this week after he allegedly stalked an Illini West student.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, the Carthage Police Department responded to Illini West High School after the school reported receiving several inappropriate voicemails over the weekend.
Police reported the voicemails and further complaints led them to arrest 69-year-old Jeffrey D. Vaughn.
During the investigation, they found that Vaughn had been stalking a student at the high school.
Vaughn was arrested at his home on charges of stalking. He is currently lodged in the Hancock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
According to court documents, the court granted an emergency no contact order against Vaughn.
