PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking on the "Fourth Republic" podcast, discussed both domestic and foreign developments as well as regional and global dynamics. He emphasized that his initial motivation for entering politics was the Karabakh conflict, reports Haykakan Zhamanak.
"I don't know whether I would've gone into politics if the Karabakh Movement hadn't happened. My motivation to engage in politics stemmed from the Karabakh conflict," Pashinyan said.
He added that the entire political identity of Armenia has long been tied to the Karabakh issue. "What happened afterward is the evolution of a revolutionary," he remarked.
Earlier, in March 2025, Pashinyan had declared that the Karabakh movement should not continue. "Yes, we are not continuing the Karabakh movement. You can jump up or go down if you like. The official position of the Republic of Armenia is clear. If the people of Armenia disagree with this position, at any moment -- tomorrow, the next day -- I will no longer be the Prime Minister," he had stated.
