It has been revealed that former US President Joe Biden is undergoing a new treatment for his aggressive prostate cancer which has already metastasised to his bones.
The nearly 83-year-old revealed in May that he was battling the disease, and a spokesperson said at the time: 'While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.'
Now, Biden is having radiation therapy and hormone treatment 'as part of a treatment plan' and its expected to last for five weeks as part of a new phase of his cancer treatment, with the radiation being the new aspect of his treatment.
Thankfully, the 46th President is 'doing well' and last month, underwent a skin cancer treatment called Mohs surgery, which involved cutting away thin layers of skin until there's no sign of cancer remaining.
When confirming his diagnosis publicly, he shared: 'Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.'
On the other hand, there have been questions about the current US President's health, but Donald Trump's recent physical has claimed he is in 'excellent health'.
Trump was seen by physicians at Walter Reed military hospital on the outskirts of Washington DC, with Navy Captain Sean Barbabella writing a letter about the state of his health that was released by the White House.
It said: 'President Trump continues to demonstrate excellent overall health. His cardiac age -- a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG -- was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age.
'He continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restriction.'
Dr Barbabella added that a battery of routine tests were carried out and Trump also received an updated Covid booster shot and his annual flu jab.
