Two Powerball tickets worth thousands of dollars were sold at a Hannaford store and a Stewart's Shop in Upstate New York.
Over the last few months, we shared numerous articles about New York stores selling winning tickets in various New York Lottery games.
A million-dollar winning ticket was sold at a ShopRite in Monticello, NY, in September, and just last week, we told you about the lucky streak Stewart's Shops has been on recently after selling over forty winning tickets worth $10,000 or more, with 274 customers winning at least $5,000 in 2025.
We can now add to those numbers as there were three third-place winning tickets sold in New York for the Saturday, October 11th, 2025, Powerball drawing worth $244,300,000 according to the New York Lottery.
There were no jackpot winners for Saturday's drawing, but there were a few players who won the third-place prize of $50,000 by matching 4 of the 5 numbers drawn along with the Powerball. The numbers for the drawing were 13,16,18,20,27, and the Powerball was 10.
A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at Hannaford located at 579 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham, NY.
Another third-prize winner was sold at the Stewart's Shop located at 526 US Highway 20, in Sharon Springs, NY. The Stewart's Shop winner is set to collect double the $50,000 prize because the player selected the Powerplay feature, which multiplied the third-place prize by two, making the total prize $100,000.
The Powerball jackpot for Monday, October 13th, 2025, is an estimated $258 million. To play Powerball, players select numbers from a field of one to 69 and a red Powerball from a separate field of one to 26.
The numbers are drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
