The present Players' gang began informally in 1996 to help raise funds for Aldermaston Parish Hall and was constituted as an independent organisation in 2011.

Their theatrical activity soon increased from one to two performances a year, due to popularity and the invaluable support it provides towards their much-loved Aldermaston Parish Hall and what this building does for the community.

Based in and around Aldermaston, they are made up of seasoned amateur performers while recruiting new talent from the local area.

Many have been with the group since the very beginning.
