Tribute acts to ABBA and Bon Jovi are also on the agenda.

Bridgwater's historic fair, dating back nearly 800 years, returns this week.

From Wednesday, September 24 to Saturday, September 27, the largest fair in the South West will take place on St Matthew's Field, alongside the West Street Market.

The fair can trace its origins back to the Charter of King John and attracts roughly 40,000 visitors each year.

This popular event has been celebrated for the past 600 years on St Matthew's Field and attracts crowds from far afield.

A Bon Jovi tribute band is set to perform in Bridgwater this week.

The Bon Jovi Experience will recreate the magic of the rock icon's timeless classics at the McMillan Theatre on Thursday, September 25.

The show, lasting 140 minutes, will feature hits like Livin' On a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name, and Bad Medicine.

Tickets for the tribute are priced at £26.50 and can be purchased at mcmillantheatre.com/events/the-bon-jovi-experience.

A drag bingo night is set to liven up Bridgwater Arts Centre this weekend.

Drag act Deidre Darling will be hosting the event on Saturday, September 27.

The bingo game, starting at 8pm, will feature unconventional calls, banter, and prizes.

Attendees can also enjoy a cabaret show.

The £10 ticket, which can be purchased at bridgwaterartscentre.co.uk/event/deidre-darlings-drag-bingo-night, includes a glass of prosecco.

Glamorous attire is encouraged for the evening.

ABBA - Forever will perform at the McMillan Theatre on Saturday, 27 September, with tickets available at mcmillantheatre.com/events/abba---forever.

The show promises to replicate the band's look and sound, with seven performers on stage, including two female vocalists.
